Conference Information
November 7-10, 2006
Monterey, California

We hope you will plan to join us for our 35th annual conference in Monterey, CA, November 7-9, 2006. Pre-conference events are Tuesday, November 7, 2006, starting with the 12th Annual Golf Tournament at 10:00 am. New members and new conference attendees are invited to attend an orientation session on Tuesday, November 7 at 5:00 pm. The conference officially kicks off that evening with a Welcome Reception in the Exhibit Hall at 5:30 pm.

This year, MRA has incorporated into our educational process a comprehensive operations program. This process has come to fruition based on members' feedback and surveys completed at the conclusion of our conferences. Many of our attendees have requested a program that will benefit all types of marinas from small to large, and fresh to saltwater.

This Marina 101 program is an excellent opportunity to learn the basic operations of a marina. Your fellow attendees will share information that has been time tested through trial and error. You will be given suggestions on a multitude of policies and procedures from basic office duties to preventative maintenance and emergency planning. These policies and procedures are the foundation of building a successful marina operation and is an excellent resource for Marina Managers, Office Supervisors and Maintenance Supervisors.

Courses will be interactive with discussions between the presenters and attendees encouraged. The more interaction the more information will be shared allowing for attendees to use what will serve their type of marina best. The presenters will also provide written information that can be adapted to any marina and incorporated into your operation immediately.

The conference will conclude on Thursday, November 9, 2006. Post conference, we are offering an opportunity to observe the Clean Marinas California certification of Breakwater Cove Marina in Monterey on Friday, November 10 at 9:30 am.
