The Marine Recreation Association's 48th Annual Educational Conference and Trade Show will be held this year at the spectacular Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines in La Jolla, California, home to PGA golf tournaments, the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, and just twelve miles from the classic restaurants and entertainment of the Gaslamp Quarter and beautiful San Diego Bay.
Special hotel rates are being offered from October 15th to the 28th, and attendees are invited to come early and stay late to enjoy the wonderful Southern California weather and amenities overlooking the white sand beaches and blue Pacific Ocean.

This year's Conference will kick off on Monday, October 21st with three special events:
A Welcome Reception for all attendees and guests will be held Monday evening in the Conference Trade Show pavilion at the Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines conference center. Regular Conference seminars, Trade Show exhibits, and other events will continue Tuesday through Wednesday.

Torrey Pines North Golf Course
The $215 / person tournament fee includes green fee, cart, drink tickets, and a $15 food voucher. A best-ball, scramble format is typically followed. Awards will be given at the Monday night Welcome Reception.
The Torrey Pines North Course was renovated in 2016 by renowned golfer Tom Weiskopf, and is the host course for the PGA Tour's Farmers Insurance Open. The North Course is shorter, and considered to be more scenic than the South Course, with many picture-perfect opportunities along the track. Bordered on its north end by the Torrey Pines State Reserve, it's a golf course to be remembered and an experience not to be missed.
7th Annual Marina and Boatyard Tour
Transportation for Tour will depart at 9:00 am, Monday, October 21, 2019
Tour transportation cost is $40 per person. Attendees will visit the following premier marina and boatyard operations, and gain valuable insight into their operations, facilities, and customer service practices.
Introduction to Basic Marina Operations|

Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines Conference Center
The cost for this important series of introductory seminars is $94 per attendee and includes lunch. The morning session will cover Introduction to Basic Marina Operations: Policies & Practices, discussing such topics as boatyard and marina best management practices, leasing and administrative policies and practices, and providing top-flight customer service. The afternoon session will provide critical information related to Basic Marina Safety & Maintenance, including how to assess and manage risk in a marine environment, marina and boatyard maintenance and safety policies and practices, and emergency management planning and practices. This is a session that all new marine industry managers and key employees should plan to attend.
Registration fees for the 48th Annual MRA Educational Conference and Trade Show are listed below for both members and non-member attendees. Regular Conference events and activities will begin at 8:00 am Tuesday, October 22nd and conclude at 3:00 pm Wednesday, October 23rd, 2019.
