Duties would include, but not be limited to:
• Perform full range of skilled carpentry, possible plumbing & electrical work, and general maintenance required to maintain the marina facilities and equipment.
• Inspect, paint, repair and/or replace docks, piers, access ramps; repair and/or install plumbing systems.
• Repair and replace defective or worn electrical switches and other facilities and equipment.
• Use and operate power and hand tools/equipment including table saws, drills, planners, routers and sanders.
• Inspect and maintain the restrooms facilities, replenish restroom supplies.
• Maintain facility grounds including the promenade, shoreline, and parking lots; inspect, repair and/or install irrigation systems; replace lights and related fixtures.
• Participate and coordinate the safe handling and moving of various boats as required.
• Provide support in marina office as required.
• Perform related duties and responsibilities as required.
Knowledge
• Methods, procedures, and materials used in skilled carpentry, plumbing, electrical, masonry, and general maintenance work.
• Operational characteristics of tools and equipment used in the carpentry, plumbing, electrical and masonry trades.
• Safe work practices.
• Knowledge of boats very helpful.
Abilities
• Learn the operational characteristics, services and activities of a full-service marina operation.
• Learn applicable municipal and state ordinances and regulations, including California Boating Law.
• Learn to operate and move all marina boats.
• Learn marina office procedures and practices, including computer applications and related office equipment.
• Assess and troubleshoot a wide range of electrical, plumbing, and other related systems and equipment.
• Work with independence and 2 fellow maintenance men to make decisions relative to work methods, equipment, and tools.
• Understand and follow written and oral instructions.
• Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with those contacted in the course of work.

Parts Manager
Marina del Rey, CA. Seeking experienced parts manager for Marina del Rey boatyard. Successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of our marine parts department including maintaining inventory, distributing parts, over the counter sales, and invoicing. He/she will assist the Service Manger with helping customers, keeping track of tools and heavy equipment and overseeing the use of company shop for cleanliness and safety. Candidate should have knowledge of marine or automotive parts and be customer service oriented. Computer literacy and fluency in Spanish is very beneficial.
