Clean Vessel Grants
The Marina Recreation Association (MRA) is the recipient of a grant from the California Department of Boating and Waterways to fund repairs and maintenance for pump-out systems operated by MRA member Marinas and Associate Marine Members in California.
Once enrolled, a member Marina is eligible for up to $1,610 for reimbursement of repair and maintenance costs per pumpout. Marinas in California are welcome to contact Mariann Timms, Membership Services at timms@marina.org or phone 209.334.0661 for information on the grant process. The MRA continues to strive for significant value enhancement for all of its members. Pump-out repair funds are certainly a tangible benefit for the MRA, and the Member Reimbursement Contract can be downloaded here.

MRA's Nautical News Publication Takes on A New Look!
We have made some changes that make advertising in the MRA Newsletter a better business decision than ever before. You should be aware by now that we have converted our quarterly newsletter into a streamlined monthly E-Newsletter. Our new publication schedule will give you more frequency, exposure and top-of-mind awareness than in the past.
Of the twelve planned newsletters per year, eleven will be on the Web and a “year in review” magazine will be printed and distributed by mail.
The web-based newsletters are slated to be as follows: eight of them will be regular monthly newsletters with one or two “hot topics” for the month; three will be “full-feature” newsletters to include special articles on legal, legislative, human resources and marketing topics written by industry experts in their fields.
Linked here are the 2010-11 Advertising Rates and the 2010-11 Advertising Contract. Please look these over and select the choices best for you to get maximum advertising. Then fill out the Contract and mail or fax it back as soon as possible so that we can include your advertisement in the upcoming E-Newsletter, as well as the ten other subsequent issues. A second Advertising Contract with the advertising rates for the printed "Year in Review" issue will be mailed to you closer to the time of printing in June.
Trade Members: Details for Web Banner Ads
The banner ads are limited to 122 pixels wide, and their height (vertical length) is variable. If your advertising is more narrow than 122 pixels, such as a 100-pixel logo and some short descriptive text, it will be boxed in with a blue line. If you submit a graphic that is greater than 122 pixels, it will be scaled down, and there is no guarantee as to its quality.
The graphic format should be either JPG or GIF. If it is any other format (e.g., Photoshop, or psd) we will convert it for you.
Be sure to send us the URL (link) to which you want interested parties to go when they click on your ad.
